Cycling Media World Cup

Bieszczady enchanted foreign journalists

Dutchman Sjors Beukeboom won the race in Bieszczady, the first edition of Cycling Media World Podkarpackie Cup 2017. Dominik Omiotek finished second and Piotr Szafraniec was third. Journalists from eleven countries took part in this event organized to promote the Podkarpacie region.

Cycling Race Regulations

HB24Media Ltd. and the Marshal of Podkarpackie Voivodeship invite you to the Cycling Media Word Cup 2017. The Honorary Patron of the Cup is Mr Dawid Lasek, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

The race categories are the following:

Open M (men)
M1 men up to 30 years old / up to 1987
M2 men 31 - 45 years old / 1986-1972
M3 men 46+ / 1971 and older

Open W (women)
W1 women up to 30 years old / up to 1987
W2 women 31 - 45 years old / 1986-1972
W3 women 46+ / 1971 and older

At the end of each race, the first 3 participants of each category will be awarded. Winners  get the Cycling Media World Cup 2017 title + gold, silver and bronze medals for places 1 to 3 sponsored by the wellnessinpoland.com as proud supporter of the Cycling Media World Cup 2017.

Cycling Media World Cup race will for men will start at Ustrzyki Dolne (men) and Bukowiec (women)  - route details are described in the race details – on 26th May 2017. Riders can participate in the event as long as they are journalists, reporters, press photographers, camera men or cycling related bloggers. They can be employees or freelance reporters as long as they own a valid press passport of a country, an organization, a company or a medium.

The relation of each participant with media will be verified by Organizer. Each rider confirms healthiness and ability to participate in the event. A daily license is not necessary. Strongly recommended is an accident insurance. Helmet is mandatory.

Start: Women at 13.00 from Bukowiec. Than men at 13.00 from Ustrzyki Dolne.
Finish line: Muczne.

Registration

Conditions of participation:

• Registration through filling the application form until 26th April 2017 available on-line at www.mediaworldcup.com
• Start fee amounts of 190 EUR shall be paid to the bank account BGZ BNP PARIBAS: BIC/SWIFT PPABPLPK No. 90160014621837876210000003.
 The fee has to be paid until 30th of April 2017. While making the participation fee payment, it should be pointed out that it concerns the road event.
Each participant who registers in time gets a free starter pack.

Location:  Zamkowy Hotel in Krasiczyn
Beginning: 19 00h

The procedure of delivering the envelope / Race office

From May 26th, there will be a registration desk at the Zamkowy Hotel. Each participant will receive the envelope with the technical guide, the race numbers, the regulations, the maps and the chip for his/her bike. Please keep your confirmation of the registration.

Mechanical assistance and first aid

Mechanical assistance will be provided during the race. Two service cars will follow the peloton. First Aid group will also follow the race. A first aid area is will also be located at the finish area.

General Rules


Two feed zones will be located on along the race route.

The race will take place at closed traffic

The race will take place regardless of weather conditions.

Each participant takes part in the competition at their own responsibility.

The organizing committee of the Cycling Media World Cup 2017 as well all Members of the Cycling Media World Cup-Committee disclaims any responsibility for the participants and their employees, in case of accidents or damage to persons or things, that may occur before, during or after the events and in case riders get involved in quarrelling with third parties.

The Organiser does not bear financial responsibility for possessions lost during the competitions.

Penalties / Disqualificatons

The organizing committee has the right to exclude riders who misbehave before, during or after the events. Additionally, nobody has the right to give his numbers or using someone else’s. Riders who do not show respect, will be disqualified.

Regulation Changes

The Organizer reserves the right to change the above rules, including the routes, due to technical or safety reasons.
